October 25, 2017 By ss

Congratulations to Usha on completing the New Forest Half Marathon  and the Great South Run. The first 2 events of her “crazy” 4 event challenge.

Event 1 : September 10th – New Forest Half Marathon (13.1 miles)

Event 2: October 22nd – Great South Run (10 miles)

Event 3: November 4th – Florida Disney Two-Course Challenge 10k (6.1 miles)

Event 4: November 5th – Florida Disney Two-Course Challenge Half Marathon (13.1 miles)

We wish Usha all the very best of luck  for events 3 and 4 urge you to sponsor her so that she can raise much needed funds for JSF.

We  need the funds now to help 18 year Craig who has a number of disabilities, both physical and sensory, which means that he requires a wheelchair and depends on 24 hour support.

Craig needs an EyeGaze device with specialist software which will help him interact with his care team, enabling him to communicate his choices. It would also vastly improve his quality of life by providing him with stimulating and enjoyable learning activities.

Daniel Ralph raises £3,576 and counting…

April 26, 2017 By ss

Congratulations to Daniel Ralph for his heroic effort in completing the Virgin Money London Marathon and raising a spectacular £3,576 for JSF.

This was an incredible challenge for Daniel.  Not only was it his first ever marathon but also, after his knee gave out after 2 miles,  he refused to give up and somehow managed to drag himself along the next 24 miles to reach the finishing line.

But he did it, and for that he really deserves that medal and even more support – there is still time to sponsor Daniel.

Also a very special thanks to Phillip Anthony and staff of Co-Operative Systems who made a significant donation to sponsor Daniel and help him meet his target.

Thank you Daniel and thank you to everyone who sponsored him.
